The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has issued harsh accusations and criticisms against the countries of the West, regarding the situation created in Gaza, after the intervention of the Israeli army.
At the emergency summit of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Turkish leader said that it is shameful that all these countries that speak about human rights and freedoms are silent about the massacre in Palestine.
"We are facing an unprecedented barbarism in history, where hospitals, schools and refugee camps are being bombed and civilians are being massacred. We believe that a fund should be created within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for the reconstruction of Gaza. Those who remain silent in the face of oppression are as much partners in the bloodshed as the oppressors," Erdogan said during his speech.
For days, the Israeli army has escalated its attacks against hospitals in the Gaza Strip, launching violent attacks that have led to the deaths and injuries of thousands of Palestinians. (A2 Televizion)
