United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called against the "further internationalization" of the Iran-Israel conflict.
"Any additional military intervention could have major consequences, not only for those involved, but for the entire region and for international peace and security in general," he said in a statement today, A2 CNN writes.
His comments come at a time when US President Donald Trump is reportedly preparing to use US military assets to strike Iranian nuclear facilities.
"I might do it, I might not do it," Trump said today regarding the possibility of US action against Iran.
We recall that even within the American Congress, there are divisions over whether or not the US should intervene in the Israel-Iran conflict.
