Prime Minister Tusk: Poland will do everything to make Ukraine's membership

Poland will do everything in its power to make Ukraine's membership in NATO a real possibility, said Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

According to foreign media, after the meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Lviv, Tusk also added that Western countries should do everything to ensure that Ukraine comes out of the war with Russia without losses, with respect for its territory and borders, and certainly for the future.

We recall that Ukraine increased its efforts to join NATO after Russia invaded the country in February two years ago, writes A2 CNN.

Former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has previously said it was "inevitable" that Ukraine would become a member, but not until its war with Russia is over.

While some Eastern European countries say some kind of roadmap should be offered to Kiev, there are others wary of any moves that could take the defense alliance closer to war with Russia.

Vladimir Putin has cited NATO's expansion toward Russia's borders over the past two decades as a key reason for his decision to send troops to Ukraine. (A2 Televizion)
