Two NASA astronauts "trapped" aboard the International Space Station (ISS) since last summer are finally on their way back to Earth on Tuesday evening.
The Crew Dragon Freedom spacecraft has undocked from the Space Station to begin its journey back to Earth.
On board are NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, who arrived at the ISS in June 2024 aboard Boeing's Starliner and were stranded for 9 months due to technical problems with the spacecraft.
With them were Commander Nick Hague of NASA and Alexander Gorbunov of the Russian space agency Roscosmos.
The scheduled arrival at 10:57 p.m. EDT off the coast of Florida will mark the end of the Crew 9 mission, which launched in September with two astronauts to allow the return of Williams and Wilmore. (A2 Televizion)
