For the first time in almost two years, Vladimir Putin "sat at the table of the great." Or rather, it allowed important world leaders to enter the Kremlin, albeit virtually. The President of Russia attended the extraordinary G20 summit. In the same panel with Michel and Von der Leyen of the European Union, Macron of France, Trudeau of Canada, Guterres of the United Nations and many representatives of other important countries and organizations of the globe, Putin responded to the statements and accusations of the West that what Russia is doing in Ukraine is shocking.

"I understand that this war and the loss of people cannot help but shock me. What about the bloody coup in Ukraine in 2014, followed by the Kiev regime's war against its own people in Donbass? Isn't that shocking? Isn't this the extermination of the civilian population in Palestine and the Gaza Strip today? Isn't it shocking that doctors have to perform operations on children, abdominal operations and use a scalpel on a child's body without anesthesia? "Isn't it shocking that the Secretary General of the United Nations said that Gaza has turned into a huge children's graveyard," Putin said.

He said he was ready to discuss a way to stop the war in Ukraine, while accusing Kiev of not wanting peace.

"The world is going through radical transformation processes. New powerful centers of global economic development are emerging and strengthening," he added.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the G20 summit welcomed the 4-day humanitarian pause, expressing his optimism for a long-term ceasefire and peace.

"Anyone with a conscience will admit that what is happening cannot be explained by the right of self-defense. War crimes and crimes against humanity are being committed there," Erdogan declared.

Erdogan further added that those who are committing these crimes must be brought before international justice in The Hague. (A2 Televizion)
