Israeli forces bombard Gaza, killing at least 50 people since midnight, after the army ordered Palestinians in the southern city of Khan Younis to leave ahead of an "unprecedented attack".
"Israeli bombardments in Gaza continued from midnight until the early hours of the day, causing the deaths of 50 people, mainly women and children, and dozens of injuries, following new massacres carried out by the occupier... in several areas of the Gaza Strip," Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Bassal told AFP, according to A2 CNN.
Meanwhile, international pressure has increased on Israel due to its new military offensive in Gaza, which has left hundreds dead in recent days alone.
The leaders of Canada, France and the United Kingdom are threatening to take "concrete action" against Israel if it does not end its renewed offensive in Gaza, while 22 countries are urging Israel to allow aid into the besieged enclave, writes A2 CNN.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejects the calls and vows to continue the offensive, which includes plans for Israel to take control of all of Gaza.
Since March 2, no food, fuel or medicine has been allowed into Gaza, a situation that the UN previously described as having a "catastrophic impact" on the Palestinian population.
Israel's war in Gaza has killed at least 53,475 Palestinians and wounded 121,398, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. The Government Media Office updated the death toll to more than 61,700, saying thousands of people missing under the rubble were presumed dead.
