The United Kingdom has today unveiled its strategy for dealing with tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump (although today he decided to suspend them for all countries except China and replace them with a flat 10% tariff).
A Downing Street spokesman said: "A trade war is in no one's interest."
"We don't want tariffs at all, so for jobs and livelihoods across the UK, we will continue to coolly and calmly negotiate in Britain's interests," he said further, writes A2 CNN.
Another source said that those countries that did not retaliate against Trump's tariffs "by showing composure and calm, could be rewarded."
"This is the way to react and it is the right approach," they added, writes A2 CNN.
"He has requested this in all of his calls this week and will continue to do so," the spokesman further said, referring to President Donald Trump. (A2 Televizion)
