Yemeni rebels, the Houthi, said a number of people were killed during an airstrike in Hodeidah the day before.
The Houthi rebels - who are designated a terrorist organization by the United States - blamed Washington for the attack.
"The number of casualties from the American aggression on Hodeidah has risen to eight and 16 are injured, as operations to remove the rubble continue," Yemeni rebel TV Al-Masirah reported, citing the Ministry of Health.
A day earlier, the Yemeni rebel Health Ministry said four children and two women had been killed.
According to Houthi rebel media, the airstrike targeted a residential area in Hodeida, the port city on the Red Sea.
Rebel-controlled areas in Yemen have faced near-daily attacks since Washington launched an air campaign against the rebels - who are backed by Iran - on March 15 to force them to stop threatening commercial shipping passing through the Red Sea.
Since then, the Houthi rebels have carried out attacks targeting US and Israeli military ships, saying the attacks are in solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The rebels launched attacks on ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, as well as on Israeli territory, after the start of the war in Gaza in October 2023. But they then stopped the attacks during the ceasefire that was reached between Israel and Hamas, the Palestinian group declared a terrorist organization by the US and the European Union.
In March, Israel cut off all supplies to Gaza and resumed its offensive on the Palestinian enclave.
