Moscow: Crimea and 4 occupied regions are Russian. Never European peacekeepers

For Moscow, Crimea and the Ukrainian regions of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Luhansk are "regions of the Russian Federation" as written in the Russian Constitution and this is a fact. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, repeating some of President Vladimir Putin's conditions for peace. The news was announced by the Ria Novosti agency.

Peskov declined to comment on Reuters reports that Russia has submitted a list of demands to the US to end the war, including recognition of Crimea and four occupied regions of Ukraine, writes A2 CNN.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova reiterated that Moscow considers the possible deployment of European peacekeepers in Ukraine "absolutely unacceptable," arguing that this would mean, for the Russian government, "involving these countries in a direct physical conflict" with Russia.

The Russian diplomatic spokeswoman said that Moscow considers "the expression of such plans as an openly provocative step, which is not aimed at resolving the conflict," but, in her words, "maintaining unhealthy and harmful illusions" of the Ukrainian government, A2 CNN reports.

The Defense Ministry in Moscow announced that Russian troops have liberated Sudzhan, the main city in the Kursk region occupied by Kiev troops.

Meanwhile, White House envoy Steve Witkoff is arriving in Moscow for talks on a possible ceasefire in Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed, quoted by Russian agencies. (A2 Televizion)
