A journey back in time can be described as the road to the village of Niçe Pogradec, otherwise known as the village of Vlleheve.
In this place, which in the 17th century was a town part of the trade route of that time to Korça and Voskopojë, it seems as if time has left decades and decades behind.
No roads, no schools and no health services, with abandoned and dilapidated houses. While those that are still standing, most are locked with rusty padlocks.
Today, there are very few residents left in the village. And who better than them can show why the former town that had up to 10 thousand inhabitants has collapsed to this point.
Now this village will be remembered simply as a toponym for its past, as there is no future under these conditions. This is an example of how you can depopulate an entire area without violence and threats, but simply forgetting them at the mercy of nature. (A2 Televizion)
