Thousands of Palestinians greeted with applause and celebrations the 39 people who were recently released by Israeli authorities as part of a ceasefire agreement that went into effect on Friday morning.
Many citizens had gathered at the Beitunia checkpoint, near Ramallah, where 39 Palestinians who had long been held in Israeli prisons surrendered.
Those present held Palestinian flags and fireworks while chanting anti-Israel slogans.
Today, the cease-fire agreement between Hamas and Israel entered into force, which provides for the release of 50 Israeli hostages and 150 Palestinians. (A2 Televizion)
