Convicts of the Malaspina prison in Caltanissetta in Italy have started a protest on Friday afternoon, which has raised the authorities.
About thirty prisoners barricaded themselves in the ward of the prison and declare that they will remain there until the demands are met.
It seems that the convicts are protesting about the conditions inside the prison. Police and Carabinieri patrols have intervened to support prison police officers.
The prosecution is also present at the scene. At the moment, no injuries have been reported.
