Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi, to whom he told that Turkey is ready to act as a guarantor in resolving the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
The two leaders met on the eve of the Economic Cooperation Organization summit being held in the capital of Uzbekistan.
The Turkish president has taken a tough line against Israel since the start of the conflict, labeling it an occupier and saying Hamas is not a terrorist organization.
