Claims that the tunnels in the Gaza Strip have been turned by Hamas into militia bases and that the entrances and exits are in hospitals and schools, Israel has chosen to prove them with a video.
The footage shows Israeli army spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari entering one of the Hamas tunnels, which exits at the Gaza Children's Hospital, Al-Radisi.
" We found evidence suggesting that Hamas was holding hostages here ," the IDF spokesman said.
Commandos of the Shayetet 13 unit and members of the IDF's 401st Armored Brigade, who raided the hospital, claim to have discovered Hamas identification marks in the compound's basement.
In the video message, Hagari says that " below the hospital, in the basement, we found a Hamas operational center, bulletproof vests, grenades, Kalashnikov AK-47s, explosive devices, RPGs (rocket launchers) and other weapons. "
