Kremlin sources said Russian President Vladimir Putin will continue to fight in Ukraine despite Donald Trump's threats of tougher sanctions and additional weapons for Kiev.
According to foreign media, the Russian leader believes his economy is strong enough to withstand the pressure of the "heavy" tariffs that Trump threatened to impose.
"Putin feels that no one has seriously engaged with him on the details of peace in Ukraine, including the Americans, so he will continue until he gets what he wants," one of the sources told Reuters, writes A2 CNN.
Recall that Trump gave Russia 50 days to take steps towards peace in Ukraine, otherwise, the US President said he would impose tough trade sanctions on Moscow. (A2 Televizion)
