Houthi rebels attack Greek ship in Red Sea, kill 3 sailors

Three sailors have been killed and two others wounded in an attack by Yemen's Houthi rebels on a Liberian-flagged cargo ship in the Red Sea. The attack on the Greek ship Eternity C comes after the Houthi claims they attacked and sank another ship in the Red Sea on Wednesday.

The European Union's Operation Aspides and private security firm Ambrey provided information on the casualties, saying one of the wounded crew members lost a leg in the attack.

The ship's crew consists of 21 Filipinos and one Russian, plus three security personnel, the EU said. The crew remains stranded aboard the ship, which is now offshore in the Red Sea.

The bulk carrier was heading north towards the Suez Canal when it was attacked last night by men in small boats and drones armed with bombs. (A2 Televizion)
