At least 26 people were killed and dozens more injured in the latest Russian attack on the Ukrainian capital. Three children were among the victims, according to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry.
"During the night and morning, rescue teams pulled 10 bodies from the rubble of an apartment building in the Svyatoshinsky district, including the body of a two-year-old child," the ministry wrote on its Telegram account, adding that 159 people, 16 of them children, were injured in the shelling.
Ukraine was again targeted by attacks overnight on Friday. A 63-year-old man was killed when a shell hit a house in the town of Veseljanka in the eastern Zaporizhzhya region.
Today is a day of mourning in Kiev after Thursday's bombings, which were among the deadliest in the capital since Russia launched its major offensive in February 2022.

Volodymyr Zelensky condemned "another deadly spectacle" staged by Moscow and called for regime change in Russia.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump called this latest wave of Russian attacks "disgusting" .
He confirmed that he would impose sanctions on Russia, saying: "I don't know if it will have an impact, but we will."
As of Tuesday, Trump has given Vladimir Putin 10 days to end this armed conflict - the worst in Europe since the end of World War II - which has left thousands dead on both sides. (A2 Televizion)
