Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said it is "not easy" to agree on the main parts of a possible peace deal to end the fighting in Ukraine.
"They are being discussed," he said in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper, foreign media wrote.
But he also said: "It is not easy to agree on the key components of a solution," writes A2 CNN.
His statement comes just three days after he greeted President Donald Trump, who, according to him, has a better understanding of the conflict and its reasons than any other Western leader.
"When we talk about eliminating the root causes of any conflict, including the Ukrainian conflict, this is the only way to solve the problem and establish long-term peace," he added on Saturday, writes A2 CNN.
We recall that despite talks to reach a peace agreement in the fighting in Ukraine, 2 days ago Russia carried out a massive attack on the Ukrainian city of Sumy, killing several people. (A2 Televizion)
