A family of three was killed in Russian airstrikes in the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhia, and four others were killed in the north and east of the country. Zaporizhia regional governor Ivan Fedorov said on social media that the city had been hit more than 10 times, killing a 14-year-old girl and her parents and wounding 12 others.
"Russian terrorism continues to destroy families across Ukraine," First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said on the social network X.
Meanwhile, prosecutors in the northeastern Sumy region reported that Russian forces had dropped at least 6 remote-controlled bombs on the villages of Krasnopillia, killing two people and wounding at least 2 others.
In the eastern Donetsk region, which is also the main front of the confrontation between Russian and Ukrainian forces, 2 more people were killed and 9 were injured after Moscow's attacks.
Attacks have also been reported on the other side of the border. Authorities in the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don said a Ukrainian drone had hit the 17th floor of a building, injuring two residents. Also in Voronezh, another Russian border region near Ukraine, the governor said 10 Ukrainian drones had been destroyed.
The developments come after the Kremlin said Russian President Vladimir Putin had agreed to a 30-day ceasefire on energy targets in a phone call with Donald Trump. But the US president failed to convince Putin of a broader ceasefire. The two sides have traded accusations in recent days of undermining peace efforts as airstrikes have continued. (A2 Televizion)
