North Korea has held a fashion fair. This was reported by the public television broadcasting footage of the event in Penian. Visitors, mostly young people, can be seen there, mesmerized by winter clothing.
I saw the fair and I liked a leather jacket for women. There was more style than last year," said Ryom Song, a North Korean citizen.
Public media KCNA noted that more than 37,000 women's, men's and children's clothing from 200 different manufacturers were on display.
"I believe it would make great sense to actively create and develop a unique and refined clothing culture that goes along with the dignity of a socialist civilization," said Yun Hong Kil, secretary for the Fashion Industry.
“This time, we exhibited a variety of clothing, including outerwear and thick clothing that will match people's preferences. In particular, we introduced clothing that is suitable for young women, as well as middle-aged and older people, with styles and colors that everyone would love. A lot of people liked it," said Hwang Mi Rae, a clothing manufacturer.
During the fair, the training course for officials, technicians and experts in the field of clothing production will be held, KCNA explains. (A2 Televizion)
