President Donald Trump says he is considering new sanctions and tariffs on Russia, following a wave of overnight attacks in Ukraine.
In a post on social media he wrote: "Based on the fact that Russia is absolutely 'hitting' Ukraine on the battlefield right now, I am strongly considering large-scale banking sanctions, sanctions and tariffs on Russia until a ceasefire and final peace agreement is reached. To Russia and Ukraine, come back to the table now, before it's too late. Thank you!!!".
This comes after Ukraine says it used French-made Mirage jets for the first time to repel an overnight attack on its energy infrastructure. (A2 Televizion)
