Ukraine's foreign minister says his country is ready for peace talks with Russia, insisting that a meeting between leaders from Kiev and Moscow would be the most effective step towards reaching a ceasefire.
"We are ready for such negotiations in any format, in any country," said Andrii Sybiha, without giving a specific date, foreign media write.
Russia has similarly said it is prepared for a third round of direct peace talks with Ukraine and is awaiting details from Kiev.
Zelenskyy challenged Putin to meet him in person in Istanbul in May, but the Russian leader declined the invitation, writes A2 CNN. (A2 Televizion)
