The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has claimed that Russia is trying to hide the losses suffered by the ranks of the North Koreans fighting alongside the Russian forces.
According to foreign media, in his nightly speech, the Ukrainian leader noted that: "Ukraine's defense forces and intelligence are working to determine the full extent of the actual losses suffered by Russian units that include the ranks of North Koreans .
"Although there is no single reason for North Koreans to die in this war," Zelensky said, A2 CNN writes.
Earlier, Pentagon spokesman Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder told reporters that several North Korean troops had been killed during fighting against Ukrainian forces in Russia's Kursk border region.
And Ukraine's military intelligence agency has also said that around 30 North Korean troops were killed or wounded during the battle with the Ukrainian army over the weekend. (A2 Televizion)
