Albin Kurti, call to citizens: Decisive hour, go out and vote

Through a post on social media, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has called on citizens to go out to vote with less than two hours left until the voting process closes.

"Dear citizens of Kosovo, Today is the D-day of democracy. Those who have not yet gone out to vote, go now as soon as possible. Ask all your relatives and friends if they have voted and pass on my message to them to go vote immediately if they have not. The next two hours, until 19:00, are decisive for even more than the next four years," Kurti wrote on Facebook.

Meanwhile, the Central Election Commission of Kosovo announced that the turnout in the parliamentary elections by 3:00 p.m. was 28.32 percent. Spokesperson Valmir Elezi said that, compared to the 2021 elections, the turnout by this time was lower.

"In 91.20 percent of polling stations, by 3:00 p.m., 28.32 percent had voted, or 558,246 voters out of 1,970,944. By the same time, in the 2021 elections, 32.32 percent had voted," Elezi said at a press conference that began shortly after 4:00 p.m. (A2 Televizion)
