Former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, have expressed their condolences through a telegram of condolence on the death of Haxhi Thaçi, father of former Kosovo President, Hashim Thaçi.
In a condolence telegram, published by the Foundation "Support for the Legal Defense of Hashim Thaçi", the former leaders of the KLA say that Haxhi Thaçi was a co-participant in all processes of the national movement of the last century.
"Dear Thaçi family, We received with pain the news of the passing of your beloved husband and parent, as well as our fellow traveler on the path to freedom, who spared nothing for life and freedom.
"Haxhi Thaçi, more than just the father of one of the founders of the KLA and the State of Kosovo, was also a direct participant in all the processes of our national movement of the last century," the condolence telegram states.
"His departure from this life is not only painful, but also a memory and message that people live and do not disappear from this world if they have served more than themselves - if they have served the good, their country, their honor, and their nation."
To the honorable family, all friends and well-wishers of Bacë Haxhi and the Thaçi family, we express our most sincere human condolences, as well as our pride in him. May the soil of Kosovo rest in peace!”, concludes the telegram of condolence. (A2 Televizion)
