Meetings are held today in Brussels within the framework of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, mediated by the European Union. As it was announced earlier, the meetings will be held at the level of chief negotiators.

Initially, bilateral talks are expected to be held by the EU's special representative for dialogue with the head of the Kosovo delegation, Besnik Bislimi, and then with that of Serbia, Petar Petkovic.

Later, if there is readiness on the part of the parties, a joint tripartite meeting will be held. According to sources from the European Union, a series of issues will be discussed at the meetings, including the implementation of the agreement on the road to normalization.

The sources claim that Lajcak has reported to the representatives of the member countries about the state of the dialogue and has said that the parties have shown a clear lack of readiness and will to make any progress in the implementation of the agreement between the two countries.

His mandate ends at the end of January, while it is expected that the new head of foreign policy, Kaja Kallas, will decide on how to continue with the dialogue.  (A2 Televizion)
