The factory for the production of ammunition in Kosovo will be completed in a record time. This is confirmed by the minister of the interior, Xelal Sveçla, clarifying that the products that will come out of there will go to the hands of the country's soldiers and policemen. The factory comes from an agreement between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the state of Turkey.
"Extremely important for the security of our country, in which case Kosovo will build the capacities to produce the necessary ammunition for the army, but also for the Kosovo Police. I believe that even looking at the contract, the works will begin very soon, and in the record time within the technical requirements, this will be done as soon as possible with its conclusion, a shortcoming that we had and that was evident will be overcome either in the sense of supplying the current needs, even in filling the necessary reserves, but also the additional trainings which are necessary for all institutions that use this type of ammunition", said Sveçla, writes A2.
For the construction of this factory, the interior minister assured that Kosovo also has the support of the United States of America.
"We are looking at the development of the entire defense and security industry, we have contacts, conversations, negotiations with everyone. Undoubtedly, the United States is our main strategic ally and we have close cooperation with them as well. We will talk with all those partners who meet our needs, but are also a continuation of the unsparing and unstoppable cooperation between us", he said.
About two weeks ago, Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced that he has made a decision to establish an interministerial commission for the launch of the evaluation for the opening of this factory as well as the laboratory for the design of unmanned drones. (A2 Televizion)
