Citizens in Kosovo have different expectations from the general elections on February 9. Some believe that the current Prime Minister, and candidate of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, should continue to remain in this position, as according to them he is working for the good of the nation.
"According to my wishes, I would like Vetëvendosje to win. If I had the chance, I would take away the votes of other parties, but I don't have the chance, because I would like the previous parties not to return to power. My children have graduated from two faculties and have gone abroad, so I have no mercy on those who have been there and now, with their merits, I would like them to win over 50% ," declared citizen Namani.
"It is known who will win, Kurti, who is it, there is no one else... He is not corrupt and he is pursuing those who are corrupt and he wins. He is thinking about the nation, no one else has thought for 20 years, step on it and go", said citizen Thaçi.
But other citizens think differently, according to whom the opposition parties should return to power.
"I chose LDK as the winner. It works better and contributes better, we saw what it did in four years ," says Mulliqi.
"I think PDK won... PDK is the best," says Gashi.
For Fazli Uka, a former fighter of the Kosovo Liberation Army, it doesn't matter who wins these elections.
"I am a war invalid, I'm saying which one is better to win, I don't know what else I can say... I am a soldier of the Kosovo Liberation Army, wounded and I receive a veteran's salary. I didn't give my blood to get my salary. Welcome to whoever wins."
The campaign for the general elections in Kosovo began on January 11, with 28 political entities competing. (A2 Televizion)
