The European Union does not change its position on the illegal Serbian parallel structures that are being closed in Kosovo. Spokesperson Anitta Hipper continues to consider them structures supported by Serbia, whose status should be resolved through the Pristina-Belgrade dialogue facilitated by Brussels.

"We always believe in the power of dialogue and this is something very important and necessary. That is why we are putting all our efforts into dialogue and that is why we are asking the parties involved to do the same," said Anitta Hipper, EU spokeswoman, writes A2 CNN.

The Kosovo government clarified that they are not structures supported by Serbia, but illegal institutions that challenge the order and constitution of the country. It also rejected the alleged commitment by the EU that their status has been accepted to be resolved through dialogue. The spokesperson was asked by journalists to clarify what she asked the parties to do specifically? She responded by underlining the importance of engaging in dialogue in a constructive manner.

However, she was embarrassed when asked about the fact that most of the meetings that are called fail, as happened with the inaugural meeting of the Joint Commission on Missing Persons of the War. Despite the fact that mediator Miroslav Lajcak confirmed that it was the Serbian side that brought about the failure of the meeting, spokeswoman Hipper said that she would comment on the issue at a later date.

Serbian chief negotiator Petar Petkovic refused to attend the meeting, citing the closure of Serbian parallel institutions. Authorities in Kosovo said they had closed 10 illegal offices across the country.  (A2 Televizion)
