The Kosovo Center for the Rehabilitation of Torture Survivors (KRRT) and its director Feride Rushiti have been nominated for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.
According to the announcement of this center, this nomination is the result of the proposal of Magnus Jacobsson, a member of the Swedish Parliament, who has recognized and appreciated our tireless work to empower and rehabilitate survivors of sexual violence during the war in Kosovo.
"This is an extraordinary recognition not only for our work as an organization, but also for the resilience and courage of the survivors who inspire us every day. The nomination reconfirms the importance of our mission for justice, rehabilitation and building a more sensitive and supportive society.
