The Director of the Agency for the Prevention and Combating of Corruption in Kosovo agreed to share with the journalist of A2 CNN in Pristina and the Kosovo Diary details of the work of this office, the results and of course the obstacles they encounter.
According to Buleshkaj, the biggest problem today in Kosovo remains justice and impunity.
The cases have been increasing in terms of denunciation and this is a big step, but on the other hand, according to him, the Prosecutor's Office has a problem with the criminal investigation and in the end the judiciary remains the weakest link in giving decisions on corruption cases.
The motto of the agency is Kosovo without corruption, but society itself must wake up in this fight and become more active.
"The Agency for the Prevention of Corruption of Kosovo develops a very essential mandate in the prevention of corruption, which starts with the declaration of wealth and gifts, as well as the verification of these registers, then continues with adequate investigations for conflict of interest and continues further with the review of legislation for anti-corruption measures, with evaluations, with integrity plans and with the monitoring of the national anti-corruption strategy", said Buleshkaj.
