"I said goodbye to you, father, in the hospital..." - Hashim Thaçi's touching message at his father's funeral

Today, the father of former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi was given his final farewell, after he passed away on Saturday night at the age of 87.

Hashim Thaçi's father was buried in the village of Brojë in Skenderaj, while the funeral ceremony was attended by family, friends, and political figures from Kosovo, Albania, and North Macedonia.

But Hashim Thaçi himself was unable to participate in this painful moment, due to the rejection of the request by the Special Court in The Hague, writes A2 CNN.

However, he sent him a wreath of flowers with an emotional message that reads: "In the hospital I said goodbye to you, dad. From The Hague I say goodbye to you in heaven."

We recall that a few days before his death, Hashim Thaçi had the opportunity to meet his father for several hours at the Internal Clinic of the UCCK, after the visit was approved by the Special Court for humanitarian reasons, writes A2 CNN.
