An offensive stance on Kosovo has brought strong criticism to the US Department of Defense. Congressman Ritchie Torres condemns Pentagon spokesperson Kingsley Wilson for what she wrote on the social network X, calling for Serbia to re-invade Kosovo.
“Kingsley Wilson, the Deputy Press Secretary for the Department of Defense, is shamefully attempting to delegitimize Kosovo, which has been the single largest American ally in the Western Balkans. No amount of historical revisionism can change the fundamental fact that Kosovo is and will always be an independent democracy,” said Congressman Torres.
His stance and criticisms were also supported by MEP Lukas Mandl.
"Europe's newest state based on an ancient population and a modern constitution, which is an example of the peaceful coexistence of ethnicities and religions, will not disappear," added Mandl.
Kingsley Wilson is another official in Donald Trump's US administration who has a stance on the Western Balkans. Richard Grenell has consistently commented on developments in our region, with a particular focus on Kosovo-Serbia relations and domestic politics in Pristina. (A2 Televizion)
