In the wake of the tense situation between Kosovo and Serbia, the Western KFOR Regional Command has conducted the "Golden Saber" exercise this Wednesday in the Novosella camp.
According to the announcement given by KFOR, units with combat vehicles, consisting of Italian, Albanian, Austrian and Moldovan platoons, took part in this exercise. They were placed on the ground in close coordination with Turkish assets from the Eastern Regional Command, Hungarian assets from The Kosovo Tactical Reserve Battalion (KTR BN) and carabinieri from the Multinational Specialization Unit (MSU).
The exercise was aimed at testing the level of training achieved and the deployment procedures of units in conducting crowd and riot control operations. (A2 Televizion)
