Ten people were injured as a result of the explosion of a hand grenade, today in the early hours of the morning, in the Animal Market in Prizren. According to the Police, the injured were transferred to the Emergency Department of the Regional Hospital in Prizren for medical treatment.
The Chief of Emergency in Prizren, Hekuran Veçgishti, told the media in Kosovo that ten people have sought medical help. According to him, five of them have been transferred to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo for further medical treatment, while five others have been released to go home.
"Around 05:00 they brought them to the Emergency Department of our hospital. "There are ten injured, five of them have been transferred to KKUK and five have been released at home," Veçgishti said.
He announced that the injured have received chest and neck injuries and because they cannot be treated at Prizren Hospital, they have been transferred to KKUK.
"There are some injuries that cannot be treated at Prizren Hospital. They have chest and neck injuries and due to the lack of certain specialties, that's why they were transferred to KKUK", Veçgishti said.
On the other hand, the spokesperson of the Kosovo Police for the Prizren Region, Vesel Gashi, said that three suspects have been identified in connection with the case, who are wanted by the police.
"Today, 22.11.2023. Around 04:50, the police received information about an injury case at the Animal Market in Prizren. From the first information, it was understood that 10 people suffered injuries from the explosion of a hand grenade. All the injured are in the emergency room of the Regional Hospital of Prizren. The police came to the scene and the guardian prosecutor was also informed. The regional investigations of Prizren have arrived at the scene and are collecting evidence and testimonies.
