The Kosovo Police has arrested two officials of the Cadastre Department in the Municipality of Graçanica under the suspicion of corruption.
The Kosovo police said in a press release that they have arrested the two officials with the initials VS and ZM, as they are suspected of two criminal offenses, abuse of office and bribery.
They are suspected of having asked a citizen for money in the amount of 25,000 euros for the completion of a case related to the transfer of ownership, said the Police.
The police emphasized that "investigators of economic crimes and corruption arrested two suspects red-handed by accepting the monetary means in the value mentioned above in order to complete the case".

However, she emphasized that the investigation and arrest of municipal officials do not call into question the functioning of the local leadership of the Municipality of Graçanica or the Cadastre Directorate.
She said it was about "actions taken individually" by certain people.
Authorities raided and seized cash and mobile phones from the suspects' homes.
