The Basic Court in Pristina has sentenced Čedomir Aksić, accused of war crimes in Kosovo, to 15 years in prison.
The verdict was announced on Thursday and this is the first trial in absentia since the post-war period.
The trial in absentia against Aksic started in November last year.
He is accused of war crimes in the municipality of Shtima - the villages of Reçak, Mulapolc and Petrovë. Kosovapress (A2 Televizion)
