11 automatic rifles were found by Croatian customs officials in the vehicle of a citizen from Kosovo.
The weapons were discovered during a search of a cargo vehicle, used for transporting cars, with Kosovo license plates at the Tovarnik border crossing near Vukovar.
During a detailed inspection of one of the suspect vehicles, in addition to 11 automatic rifles, the relevant ammunition was also found in the transport vehicle.
Croatian media report that the driver and a passenger in the vehicle, citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, were traveling to Switzerland.
Due to suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized possession of weapons and explosives, the Croatian police will file criminal charges against the driver and passenger. (A2 Televizion)
