During a search conducted in the northern part of Mitrovica, Kosovo Police found weapons and ammunition of various calibers. The weapons and ammunition were hidden in a chicken coop in the yard of a house.
The police explain that there was information about a location where weapons were found, so police units took immediate action and conducted a search in a neighborhood near the Ibar River, namely at Shkëmbi i Dudas in the city of North Mitrovica.
"During the search carried out in that area in a chicken coop, the police found and confiscated an AK-47 long gun, two magazines of the same gun with 30 rounds each, 473 pistol rounds, 40 hunting rifle rounds, 12 rounds of various calibers of long guns, a tactical knife, a set of gun cleaning equipment and a black bag," the announcement states.
In connection with the case, the police have accompanied the suspect with the initials ZT, aged 68, who was interviewed in the presence of the defense attorney.
According to the police, all actions taken have been reported to the State Prosecutor, who has ordered the initiation of the case " Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons ", while the suspect, after being interviewed by order of the prosecutor, was released. (A2 Televizion)
