A person has been arrested by Kosovo police on suspicion of unauthorized computer access to a bank in an EU country. This action resulted in the compromise of data on over 300,000 bank cards, causing considerable damage.
According to the Kosovo Police announcement, he is suspected of posting this data to sell on an online platform for illegal profits.
During the search operation, four computers, three phones, a USB and important documents were seized.

The Kosovo Police, in cooperation with the State Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo and the authorities of an EU country, has conducted a successful investigative operation in Pristina and Ferizaj.
Following a months-long investigation, a person suspected of unauthorized computer access to a bank in an EU country has been arrested. This action resulted in the compromise of over 300,000 bank card data, causing significant damage.
The suspect is alleged to have posted this data for sale on an online platform for illegal gain.
During the search operation, four computers, three phones, a USB and important documents were seized.
Close international cooperation and the high professionalism of the Kosovo Police have been key in this operation.
By decision of the Prosecutor, the arrested person was detained for 48 hours, for further procedures.
