The Office of the Chief State Prosecutor announced that the Basic Prosecution in Pristina, yesterday, after receiving information about the non-functioning of the CEC platform, has requested from this institution the necessary information to verify whether there are elements of the commission of a criminal offense or not, writes A2 CNN.
On election day in Kosovo, the Central Election Commission's platform experienced problems reporting data. CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi spoke to A2 CNN about the problems and dismissed claims of manipulation on the results platform.
"I inform you that the CEC is collecting data after counting the ballots from the polling stations. There are evident technical problems on the platform. The data is being collected from the field and will then be published by the CEC. Due to the great interest of citizens in accessing the results platform, an overload has been caused in the system. All CEC teams are working in the field and sending the data, which we are making efforts to transmit as soon as possible. The CEC thanks all citizens and the media for their understanding", said Elezi. (A2 Televizion)
