A serious incident has occurred in Podujeva, where skeletal remains were discovered inside a burned-out car. The Kosovo State Prosecutor's Office informs that after examination, it has been confirmed that they are human.
"On February 4, 2025, the Prosecutor in Charge was informed by the Police Station in Podujeva about the discovery of a burned vehicle and upon examination, it was found that there were bone remains inside, in which case the State Prosecutor engaged a forensic anthropologist expert, who determined that these remains were human," the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina announced.
To fully clarify the case, the prosecutor has taken immediate measures and authorized in-depth investigations, coordinating with the relevant Kosovo Police units.
"Subsequently, the State Prosecutor has authorized and in coordination with the relevant units of the Kosovo Police are undertaking all necessary investigative actions, with the aim of fully clarifying the case. Given that we are in the initial phase of the case, at the moment detailed data on this case cannot be provided, but the State Prosecutor is committed to fully clarifying the case in cooperation and coordination with law enforcement agencies", announces the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina.
