Kosovo police have announced that they have arrested several people and seized firearms and a significant amount of ammunition, in two separate locations on Tuesday evening in Pristina.
According to the announcement, a vehicle on "B Street" had tried to evade the police stop, but the Police had reached it and found two firearms there.
"In the second case, after information provided on the operative route that a suspect possessed a weapon, the police quickly undertook an operation in a bar on 'Kadri Zeka' street in the Kalabria neighborhood in Pristina, in which case they managed to arrest the suspect and to seize a firearm", the announcement states.
In relation to these cases, the Kosovo Police has initiated an investigation into the criminal offenses of "Possession, control or unauthorized possession of a weapon".
The three suspects were sent to the detention center for 48 hours. Kosovapress. (A2 Televizion)
