Kosovo has officially entered the most serious political crisis in history. Even the 29th attempt to constitute a new assembly has failed. The parties are not moving a single millimeter from their positions: the Vetëvendosje Movement demands that Albulena Haxhiu be voted in as the speaker of the assembly, while the parties that were in opposition in the previous legislature oppose her name on the pretext that it does not unite the country, but rather divides it, writes A2 CNN.
There are some political forces that are seeking consultations with the leading force to reach a consensual name, however Vetëvendosje emphasizes that the appointment of a candidate is a right earned in the elections.
Faced with this political circus of historical failures, which have not been seen in any country in the world, citizens are running out of patience. Some of them, led by lawyer Arianit Koci, once again placed barricades at the entrance to the parliament, but were not allowed in by security. However, verbal clashes with MPs have not been absent.
