On the sixth day since the campaign for the parliamentary elections to be held on February 9th officially began. Since Saturday, political parties have held rallies every day.
But the language used in them has cost some of the parties dearly. The Electoral Panel for Complaints and Submissions yesterday and today imposed fines worth around 40 thousand euros for violating the Code of Conduct for Political Entities, their Supporters and Candidates.
"The law leaves little room for action on the part of the Complaints and Appeals Panel, and such harsh decisions have another address for rapid review in the Supreme Court, where several subjects have already addressed it today," lawyer Arbër Jashari told A2 CNN.
Regarding the complaint of the Vetevendosje Movement, rejected today by the Electoral Panel for Complaints and Appeals, ECAP, against the leader of "Serbian Democracy", Aleksandar Arsenijevic, Jashari says that there will be a new decision, since the issue of obstructing the electoral rally has gone to the Supreme Court.
For the Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel, the use of such language by political entities is contrary to the code of conduct.
For its violation, Vetëvendosje, the Democratic League of Kosovo, and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo were fined a total of 35 thousand euros. (A2 Televizion)
