Although the investigations are still in the initial phase, Kosovo believes that the attack in Ibër Lepenc may be related to official Belgrade, which may be the hidden hand, just like in Banjska. In case the investigations reveal the involvement of Serbia, experts in Pristina say that it will be difficult for Belgrade to have sanctions.

The European Union's attempt to keep Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić close in order to align with Russia and China makes it more palatable.

Arbënor Sadiku, political analyst, says to A2: "The international community treats Serbia somewhat differently, in the sense of what they also know that Serbia has other options besides the EU, which in this case is support from China and Russia." .

Fitim Mulolli, political analyst, emphasizes: "Neither the EU nor NATO wants a Serbia that is completely oriented or extended by Russia in the Balkans because they aim to have a Balkans fully integrated into the EU, where there are no threats from Russia or China".

The developments in Serbia after the tragic case in Novi Sad, where the resignation of Vucic and the Government is demanded through protests, gives the Serbian President the opportunity to play new games in relation to the internationals, appearing as their best ally in Belgrade.

"This tactic continues to be used by Vučić over and over and he gives reasons for everything because such a thing would harm Serbia on the road to the EU, such a thing would influence it to completely turn its back on the EU and it is trying to convince them to join and come there", declares Mulolli.

However, if Kosovo would respect the international calls to fulfill its obligations from the agreements with Serbia, it would give a better position to the allies in its calls for the sanctioning of Begorad.

"Kosovo's strategy, instead of asking others in this case from Kosovo's allies to put someone to blame, it is better that we first perform our duties and, of course, in addition to asking for mobilization from KFOR through the QUINT embassies and other bodies", Sadiku said.

The latest attack in Ibër Lepenc that took place on November 29 hit critical infrastructure and was rated as the heaviest in post-war Kosovo. (A2 Televizion)
