Russian comedians mocked Albin Kurti, the first reaction from the office of the

The Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo has reacted to the prank by two Russian comedians that the head of government, Albin Kurti, fell victim to a few days ago.

Through a statement, the Prime Minister's Office writes that the incident occurred on February 11, shortly after the February 9 elections, at a time when Kurti was receiving numerous congratulatory messages and phone calls regarding the election results.

The statement also states that "this unfortunate incident reinforces what we have known for a long time: Russia is obsessed with Kosovo and continues to target our country."

In conclusion, the statement from the Prime Minister's Office says that Albin Kurti, during that conversation, held the same positions as the official ones, on various issues.

Recall that two Russian comedians, Vovan and Lexus, organized a conversation with Kurti, making him believe that he was talking to the President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkevics, writes A2 CNN.

In the video published on Rumble, Kurti seems relaxed in conversation with what he thinks is Rinkevics, talking about everything from Richard Grenell to Milan Radoiadoicic.

The reaction of the Prime Minister of Kosovo:

Statement from the Prime Minister's Office regarding the prank call incident

The incident occurred on February 11, shortly after the February 9 elections, at a time when Prime Minister Kurti was receiving numerous congratulatory messages and calls regarding the election results. Due to time constraints, it was not always possible to conduct full verifications of each call.

This unfortunate incident reinforces what we have known for a long time: Russia is obsessed with Kosovo and continues to target our country. During the election campaign for the February 9 parliamentary elections, Sputnik Serbia and Russia Today (RT) published over 60 fake news and disinformation articles, interfering in our democratic process, as documented by the EU Election Observation Mission.

While we regret that Prime Minister Albin Kurti became the target of such a call, this episode reconfirms Prime Minister Kurti's principled and consistent stances on key issues, both in public and private conversations. (A2 Televizion)
