The opposition parties criticized Prime Minister Albin Kurti for not appearing at the Special Prosecutor's Office to testify, as he had been invited days before.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo said that the message that is being broadcast is wrong and that the fact that the prime minister has been invited may have knowledge of a certain issue that can help clarify the case.

"First of all, it is a bad message for the citizens of Kosovo, in this case for the way it treats the prosecution body. And I think that as the Constitution has defined, the powers are separated. In this case, everyone must do their job, the prosecution body is precisely to prevent abuses from happening and to fight negative phenomena", said the head of the PDK group, Abelard Tahiri.

The Democratic League of Kosovo assessed the invitation that Kurti made to the prosecutors in his office as harmful, saying that this is the model of the Vetëvendosje Movement's behavior in relation to justice.

"Unfortunately, the prosecutor is called and the behavior of political supremacy and the political superiority of the executive over the judiciary, in this case over the prosecution, is unacceptable. It is a wrong concept, the concept of his behavior is wrong and it means the perspective of the Prime Minister and his people's assessment of justice", said Arben Gashi from LDK.

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo said that the attempt to view the invitation of the prosecutor's office as interference in the election does not stand and that Kurti is not above the law.

"No one is above the law, not even Mr. Albin Kurti is above the law, and their own statements that they are inviting the prime minister to testify during the elections do not stand because we were also MPs who were invited by the court due to of tear gas and we have responded to you because we must respect the bodies of justice", declared MP Time Kadrija.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti was invited as a witness for the case known as "state reserves", but due to his trip abroad he did not come to testify.  (A2 Televizion)
