Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from January 1 next year, will be able to travel to our Republic with a biometric ID, writes A2 CNN. The announcement was made by the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, after the decision taken by the government.
"In November, two years have passed since the signing of the Agreement on Free Movement with Letters in the Western Balkans in Berlin, as part of the Berlin Process agreements. Our country was the first to ratify this agreement in parliament. The blockade by the Republika Srpska entity has long deprived the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Kosovo of the right to move freely with identity cards, at a time when the entire region is traveling freely towards the European Union. As we end the waiting of citizens from Bosnia and Herzegovina, we remain hopeful that Bosnia and Herzegovina will be able to ratify the agreement as soon as possible so that the entire region can enjoy freedom of movement. We are confident that this decision will increase the ties between Kosovo and Bosnia, will increase opportunities for cooperation and will promote exchanges in education, culture, sports, economy and other areas of common interest", wrote Kurti.
