Belgrade is not ready to recognize Kosovo's independence. This was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić during the Globex Forum in Prague.

In his speech, he said that Serbia's entry into the EU is primarily a matter of politics and not merit, and that the main obstacle is Kosovo, writes A2.

"This is about Kosovo, as you know. We adhere to the United Nations Charter and Resolution 1244, which states that Kosovo is part of Serbia. Belgrade is not ready to recognize Kosovo's independence," Vučić said, stressing that neither Bratislava, Bucharest, Athens, Madrid, nor Nicosia are ready to recognize Kosovo's independence.

Vučić was also asked in Prague about whether Moscow is pressuring Serbia to support Putin. He stressed that Serbia will never be against Russia and that the country's European path cannot be based on this fact.

Vučić also added that Serbia has "very good cooperation with Ukraine", a state which, as he recalled, does not recognize Kosovo's independence.  (A2 Televizion)
